Title: Three videos of some driving
Post by: Bill_the_Bear on 07 July 2013, 23:07
A video of a white one driving around (slowish) but making the 18 inch wheels look freaking awesome!
http://youtu.be/tH1g6XQHc0c

Ooh and a red one too:

And here is a black one behaving naughty and showing off its sunroof too:
http://youtu.be/QGQjdBkxrG0

Why haven't I noticed these vids before?

Loving the white 5 door, mine can't arrive soon enough!    The wheels do look amazing too, genuinely much prefer them to the overly-busy 19s.

Good find, especially the J-Turn

Great find Bill.

So glad I stuck with white - it just looks awesome.

Roll on the next few weeks

Really regretting not getting the 5-door.

Am I the only one on this forum that has ordered the Oryx White? At least I will have an excuse to take a few photos!

You're not. Kendo44 takes delivery of his next week.

Can't wait to see shots of it. Love the Oryx White but couldn't part with the cash for it so went cheapskate and ordered PW.

Why you regretting not ordering the 5 door? 3 door looks the best by a long chalk

Bill,

The 5 door in white looks immense! I absolutely love the way the alloy wheels spin like throwing stars

I just think the 5-door looks more complete.  I normally don't like 5-door cars so 3-door was my automatic choice.  But cant help thinking the Golf looks better with 5.

I can't make my mind up on this one - I went 5 door purely out of practicality.  But, it also pulls off 5 doors really well in terms of looks. 3 door does have nicer lines at the rear window, but I wouldn't say it's a long chalk ahead.  Not convinced on Oryx White either...never been too keen on any pearl white I've seen in the flesh, but maybe this might change my opinion?!

Have to say I only ordered it to be a little bit different, really liked the plain white on my Scirocco and the Golfs look amazing in that colour.

If I was less of a dick, I would have gone for PW.  But I'm not.

Hey, if it's what you wanted!  Now't wrong with that mate, after all, if I were more sensible I'd be getting something cheaper, but the heart ruled!

Unless you require practicality it has to be 3 door all the way. It is after all a hot hatch  :smug: :smug:

My definition of hatch only includes reference to the rear opening, not the number of doors! ;)  Can't beat a 5 door GTI for everyday fun and practicality!  My weekend car would be something far lower and with only two seats!

I have ordered Oryx White as well in a 5 Door.  Cannot wait.  The white 5 Door with the 18's looks awesome.

5 doors (or more doors) is 2 doors too many. It's plain wrong on a sporty hatchback... IMO. Sorry

Definition of hatch then yes, for hot hatch then equals sport which equals 3 doors

If the Orynx White looks half as good as the Satin White Pearl on the BRZ you'll love it, photos don't do pearl whites any justice.

History told me that rubbish as you put it

Mk1 Golf GTI - arguably the first hot hatch and only available in 3 door  :smug:

Not sure what planet that definition comes from!  Being pedantic, it's a hot hatch if it's fast, good looking, handles well, and is as usable on the sporty windy roads as it is taking the kids to school and doing the weekly family shop.  A hot hatch is something practical that is "all things to all men", and for that, a 5 door GTI takes some beating.

That's what I meant to say, thanks

Each to their own. A GTI in its purest and finest form is a 3 door to me.

Anyone spotted the black one has the 17" wheels (standard in Germany/Ireland etc)

Glad you said that Mezza as at 1:18 I was thinking they looked a bit small, but didn't realise they could be 17" elsewhere.  Cheers
