Title: Rounded nut in cam cover ABF
Post by: John50 on 05 July 2013, 22:17
Trying to remove the cam cover on my ABF and one of the two nuts in the deep recess (under the rubber bung) has somehow rounded

Anyone had this happen? any ideas?

Thanks all

Try hammer a smaller socket on, normally does the trick for me.

if the nuts are meant to be 10mm I would buy a 9mm 12 point socket to hammer on. the 12 points bite in better when hammered on. a 3/8 socket would probably tap on easier but they not so common these days.
