Title: Micro USB connector
Post by: joet on 04 July 2013, 17:26
Does anybody know if the GTI comes with Micro USB connectors for non-iPhone phones?

Thanks

I think you have to request/pay for them.

You can use BT or an SD card though so there might be easier options.

Thanks. I was thinking more as a way to charge the phone, with a nice integrated cable, but I can always use an adapter from the power socket.

Ah!  Good point.  Most androids come with a USB connection cable.  I assume (but pretty sure about it) that you can plug this to the  USB port in the car and get charge even if it doesn't connect the data.  you can then use BT to access the phone.

I'd check with the dealer though as I thought I heard they can exchange the iPhone cable for a different one, but I might be confusing this with the iPhone "lightening" connector.

Always worth checking out Skoda dealers for same part if you want to buy it officially.

Bought the stainless pedals set for my Scirocco: £155 at VW garage, £122 at TPS, £68 at Skoda dealer - for the same set!
