Title: vacuum hose
Post by: oakgreengolf on 04 July 2013, 16:04
Am I ok to use 3mm silicone hose rather than the material covered type. Is there any difference?

As long as the hose doesn't collapse under vacuum, then not a problem, though the braided hose looks so much better, and is just as cheap to buy...

I got a 1m length of braided hose off fleabay for less than £3 delivered. Can't go wrong with that really.

Most decent service garages should have a selection of different diameter hose on a dispenser, half a meter would be adequate to do all of the vac pipes, and generally the smaller diameter hose is braided, as it helps the hose to be bent, without crushing the cross section... this is important for proper operation of the vac systems
