So I got a last minute request to 2nd shoot a wedding last weekend with a professional tog friend of mine.
Luckily enough, she had an extra 5D Mk2 body for me to use and we swapped around a couple of L lenses.
Although by the end of the day, the 5D's battery had died so the last couple of shots were on a 50D.
Here's a few of my shots.

Really lovely shots!

Definitely like them.

Good looking photos there, I have to admit I gate crashed one of my sisters friends weddings at the weekend as well to give the 5D mk3 a ramp too. I have to admit in glorious sunshine it really excels.

Something I've learnt is that photos of people eating can be quite unflattering and women are quite likely to dislike the photo. Unless of course it's chubby bunnies or some such humourous food game.
The second photo with the ice cream van, the green is way too vibrant. I would turn it down a touch, or perhaps even try a vintage/film look to go with the vintage van.

Enjoy the 5D2?
Pics have that postcard-like look to them which the full-frame seems to do so well.

The ice cream van is a HDR, sometimes they just don't come out right it was a very bright day and the camera was making the HDR judgment on the Auto EV. They were laughing at the ice cream point as chocolate ice cream went down the dress. Maybe Ice Cream and wedding dresses are not a good idea.

Great shots there, got to say DubFan, I really do love your style!

I really enjoyed shooting that wedding. It was 9hrs of shooting, plus nearly 6hrs of travel. But I was paid for it.
I have to say that in operation, in my hand, there wasn't that much between the 5D2 and the 50D. They were about the same size and weight. Facilities wise, they were about the same. The big things were being able to select focus points and setting the exposure and ISO. Which was the same on both cameras.
Obviously once you get the images from each camera onto the computer you'll notice the difference in image quality, but in shooting, I had just as good a hit/keeper rate with each camera. Neither did I have problems with not being able to get focus at a crucial time. But I wasn't shooting in low light (which is when some cameras struggle) and I had good lenses, which helps.
Lens wise, I had use of; 50mm f1.2 L, 24-70mm f2.8 L and the 70-200 f2.8 L IS . A perfect lens combo for a wedding. But pretty heavy, my hand was aching by the end of the day.
Glad people like the shots. It does help massively when you're able to shoot with someone else, particularly when they are able to pose the couple. But all the composition and processing on these is mine.

looking good fella!
