I'm looking at getting a boost gauge and all the bits and pieces needed. I've been looking on good ol' fleabay and come across a shed load of different gauges . But what ones should I stay clear of as I don't want some shoddy made Chinese piece of sh!t that will look tacky, but then again I'm not paying stupid money either.
Help on these gauges and pods would be helpful

Dean my gauge is a new south one. The reason I got it was due to it 100% matching my clocks so it looked as Oem as poss. My pod is a cheap one but if I had the money I'd get the one from awesome Gti.
However they sell them on eBay here

new south are good ones and wouldn't class them as silly money and a decent holder shouldn't set you back much

keep scanning the web i got mine in a bargain 35£ with my mount coming in at about £30, gives you an idea really

I was in the same boat as you a couple of weeks ago, I narrowed it down the to the glowshift and newsouth. But in the end I went newsouth because it looked OEM. For pod, I have a 42DD a pillar pod, as again it blends in with the rest of the car.
At the end of the day mate the choice is yours and you're the one that has to love with it. If you shop around you can get it all sub £80 if you're lucky. A decent guage is going to cost around 50 pound brand new. Or you can keep checking the forums for second hand items, Baxy was selling a complete package for £50 last week. Pm him see if be still has it all.

I'll be going back to a Newsouth gauge soon but the mk6 version to match my white LEDs

the one I bought was an autogauges one, it was cheap and cheerful and does the job, I`m not particularly fussed about what it looks like as long as it works.
personally my car is being built on a tight budget due to having little work, so fashion is the least of my worries right now. As long as it is running well, that`s all that matters and it`s just about what I can afford at the moment.
