Quick question, folks. I've seen a few different pictures of the GTD/GTI's interior. Some pics show the seat bolsters being suede like material while others seem to be standard cloth. Is the suede a cost option?

Not in the UK market, but it appears to be for EU countries.

It's a cost option here in Ireland, less than half the cost of full leather. The sides of the seats, the armrests and door padding are all leather too (or more likely leatherette!).
Here's mine, which I will be sitting in from today!

Oh yeah baby!
Shame we can't get those seats.

Yup, must admit, that's one extra option I would have definitely ticked the box on.

I wanted that option too, but I really like these cloths seats, they are different material on the inside bolters, kind of like a hexagon pattern to mimic the grill etc.

Sounds cool, didn't know they had a pattern on the bolsters though...got any close-ups?!

The standard Scirocco seats are like that - coarse mesh covering the bolsters, didn't see it on GTD/GTI seats though.

yes the mesh is on the gtd seats. they look and feel rather nice and much better than the leather seats in my tiguan.

The mesh is much finer than the Scirocco. Scirocco has hexagonal mesh about 6mm diameter per hexagon, with the cloth underneath clearly seen. The GTI/GTD mesh is more of a loose weave as opposed to nigh-on fishing net sized holes.
-
Are we sure it's a mesh overlaid? It looks to me like it's the natural weave of the material.

The GTI/GTD Jacara seat cloth isn't mesh overlaid. You could just about call the bolsters "mesh", but for me it's a coarse weave, and nothing over the top.

Yeah, that makes sense.
