I currently only have a standard exhaust system on the car and want to replace it with something better. I'm not wanting something too noisy but something that sounds pretty decent.
With regards to the back of my car the body kit at the back does not have curve for exhaust - is this required?
Looking for
1. Suggestions for decent back box exhaust that will fit with existing standard exhaust with my current set-up.
2. If need be advice on where I would require a new part for my body kit which contains curve to suite a new exhaust.
1 - Is my preferred option in the shortterm. I do like the Jetta exhaust systems you get but again unsure if they would need change of body kit so they can be seen. In my current set-up you cannot see the exhaust.

could have 1 made a bit cheaper than the usual milltek for the golf an you might need a 4mo rear valance if you dont want the discreet tail pipes :smiley:

Best option is a full system but if you just want somethin cheap that looks nice get a 4motion rear valance and a twin pipe box

I'm running a 3" downpipe/decat and a Milltek cat-back with twin pipes and 4motion rear valance. It's only just a little louder than stock when driving normally, when you put your foot down though it sounds amazing.

Set me back a little bit, Milltek and rear valance were around £430 and I already had the downpipe from the full 3" system that I had. They're around £100 on eBay though so about £550 in total.

just get a back box to fit and get an air hacksaw on rear valance to trim it of for clearance. I cant understand why people blow hundreds of pounds on something they could sort out themselves on a Saturday afternoon.

I mine with a air saw but will admit it doesn't look as good as a proper valance but I'm more function over looks

its a mk4 of coarse there is something else to spend the money on :grin: fixing it for a start :laugh:

My 4motion valance was £45 brand new from the dealers, I get a bit of discount there but full price wasn't much more than £50 :wink:

you could trim it of neatly if you took your time. and you get more job satisfaction from doing it yourself. oh and barry I haven't got a mk4. I got a mk2. I just wondered over this way cause all was quite in the other topics lol
