Title: Readers-U281 vs U305-any difference for mk3 golf?

Hi just wondering which of these readers is better for the golf. I am going to buy one (finally). I have VDCS lite for my laptop, but unfortunately I can't find a cable on ebay that is Vista compatible...:(

I have the u281, works perfectly as for the other one I can't comment cause I've never used one

why?

if the usb<->rs232 converter is an fdti chip (and not a forgery) you can get drivers from fdti website with no issues at all...

ummm...I have no idea how to tell a forgery from a real one just from the ebay description..in fact I don't really understand what you mean, but catch the gist...:)
