Hi guys,
I'm thinking of getting my windows tinted on a five door. I've been looking at different websites but the prices are ridiculous.
So my question is .....
How much would it cost me roughly to do it myself and is it worth doing myself if I've never done it before ?
Or is there anyone in the south Wales area that does it cheap ?

I think that you can only tint the rear, fronts with factory tint cannot be any darker and still be legal.
-
The fronts can be tinted but have to allow a certain amount of light through

-
Price should be about 140 for rears that's what I got quoted

Speak to Roger @ Black Knight. He is based in Aberdare but travels all over South Wales

Tell him Rhys sent you his way

i got quoted £50 from a place in sunderland, think it was called tint my ride or something.
know a few people who had theres done there, spot on :afro:
to do it yourself your looking at about £30-£40 depending on wherre you buy the film from, or if you buy a big roll proberbly about £20 but then you will have to cut it yourself which can be tricky.
personaly id get someone else to do it. i did mine on ym last car, was a right arse on, side windows were pretty easy, but rear window was a right f**k on, spent aged doing it and still ended up with a few small bubbles in one corner.

When i first tinted my car i made a mess of the back screen. I like the pre-cut tint for your car off ebay.

Well that's to cheap IMO spoke to 3 other places all around the same price... If he's doing it for 50 quid it must be cheap sh!t tint he's using and that makes a big diff

At my work we are charged £200 to do everything behind the fronts. Having said that £200 must be his favourite number as he charges the same for 2door coupes as he does for 4x4 :undecided:

tint wizard liverpool are good 130 for all back windows while you wait

dean, if you`ve never done it before and want it to look spot on, leave it to the pro`s it can be fiddly old stuff. there is a method which works great but you`ll need to google it.
the best jobs i did in my teens were when i took all the windows out to do it. i did my mates 205 and my ax with good results. you are allowed up to 30% on the fronts and rears don`t matter. personally i think light smoke all round looks best!
have a look on youtube for some how too`s if you really want to have a go mate!
-
Dean if you like mine, the guy that did mine isn't very expensive.

Give them a ring, ask for Paul and say I sent you there way, he will look after you :)
P.s that goes for anyone of you lot.
