Title: Catch can and pcv system
Post by: Jayz on 26 June 2013, 19:57: Hi peeps i have a 2001 y reg 1.8t aum and im looking to put in a catch can in over the weekend, other than that what do i need e.g piping etc if i need to block off any pipes what do i need?
Also by doing this do i need to bypass the n249 aswell?

I have done a fair bit of reading up on the systems and removal. It aint the easiest thing to follow in my view.

To the OP, do a good bit of google searching on it, as there is a number of different forums with different guides, with conflicting info on some. I found a few helpful topics specifically on the seat forums. Not sure if your engine was put into a seat?

I will try and post some links when I have time.

Just fitted one of these fitted perfect doesnt look an eye sore under the bonnet maybe a bit expensive but worth the extra £££ :smiley:
