Hi,
So the not so trusty old golf (agu) failed its MOT on the above. They thought it could be a split pipe but were unsure.
The car pulls and runs fine, I cleaned the throttle body out and followed the realignment process listed with vcds. The two typical poor hoses from the inket mani to the fpr and recirc valve have been replaced with silicone.
The test/results were 890 when the range is 650-870
Can I alter this in vcds at all? Anything i can log to aid diagnostics? Any other suggestions to get it through?
Thanks

Have you got a splitter or recirc valve and any codes for your lambda sensor.

It's got a crappy baileys valve that came on the car, do you think that could be the cause? I've got a catch can to fit too but just running out of time but I guess that'll eliminate a valve and some oem/13 year old hoses!
No error codes at all, mpg also seems fine to me so believe the lambda is ok.

Is it a fully recirculating valve? If it is not swap it for the standard one or a fully recirc for the mot. They do make cars run rich and it is close to the limit so give that a try

To be honest I've got no idea, I don't know what model it is or what not, it's not overly loud though.
I think I'll pick up a forge 008, I planned to but not this month, tax, mot....
Just want it sorted though, I don't have an oem valve so nothing to replace it with.
