Title: Anniversary interior parts, optional extras from factory??

Hi, I've been looking for a replacement or my tired 8v. I've come across a nice 8v gti that some old guy has had sitting at the back of his barn sized garage for 2 years.
It visually looks like an anni. It hass the 16" BBS, front fogs, red stitched wheel and handbrake lever, and the alloy/leather gearknob.

However its got Recaros and black seat belts fitted.

The guy has had this from near new so im doubting its been modified inside.

In Spain/Mallorca there seem to be lots 8v and 16v with recaro trim as std.

So im wondering if the red stitched trim was optional from the factory, along with the wheels etc..?

Or was the anni available with recaro as an option?

Any info would be good, I'll probably buy the thing either way as its a nice example.

Also off topic.. I've a real big 8v engine issue I'm struggling with posted in the garage section on here.. if you could help me out with it i'd be really thankful.

If it has black belts doubt very much it is an Anniversary

UK Annis weren't available with Recaros...and all had red seat belts.
The stuff you listed is really easily changed.

only the Uk got the anni and Germany got the jubi

I will add vw did loads of special local editions of the mk3 (and a lot of these came with with reacaro's)

What year is the car and can you post a pictures or two and I will do some delving
