Title: Dash speakers

I toyed with the idea of installing a set of 3 way components using the dash speaker holes for the voice speaker. But when i had a look there is next to no space between the hole and scuttle pannel. Anybody done this or even just replaced the origional speakers for some aftermarket ones?

ive replaced mine but forgot the size of them.

i prefered the original nokia dash tweeters. they sound crips imo :rolleyes:

Done it in my other car and looking at the space in the Golf dash i'd say its about the same.

I used JBL 202's - a 2.5 inch mid/tweeter

me too thats what ive got in mine they sound sweet as a nut!
