Just a quick question for you. Would an air leak cause the revs to climb on full boost similar to clutch slipping?
Only asking cos ive had clutch conversion done last year on my standard 1.8t and its behaving odd again.
Isn't slipping when pulling like it did before conversion but it seams to be slipping when turbo kicks in. Excuse the female car talk Mrs bullzeye here lol
thankyou

I wouldn't have thought so, an air leak would cause loss of power on full boost. With kind of erratic boosting and un-smooth power delivery. Or if it was bad enough, just sod all power.
I would be looking at the clutch again.

Was affraid youd say that ; (

So if this clutch needs doing again do I need the whole kit g60 flywheel etc

I daresday the clutch still has a warranty/guarantee? If that is the culprit.

best way to check if its the clutch
Start the Car
Put it into 1st gear with the hand brake on fully
Then try and pull away with the brake on
if the car stalls clutch is not slipping
if its slipping it will stay running but obviously not moving

what clutch did you have fitted previously? and what boost are you running?
