So far I have 15 eBay watchers, is this good? Never sold anything on eBay before so not really clued up on it
-
Not realy. You could have 100 watchers. It all comes down to bids mate. The bidding realy starts towarss the end of the auction. Last 5-10 mins
-
There wasters not watchers
-
15 isn't bad depending on the item. If there's lots of similar items then it's nowt but if you're selling something unique or rare then that many people will normally equate to a decent sell.
But as mentioned, it's all about bids and the last 5minutes mean everything especially these days. Gone are the days of people placing their maximum bid days before the end of the auction. I very rarely bid until the last 15seconds or so.
-
15 isnt bad, means there 15 people who potentially want to bid, i only had 8 on a momo team with boss i put up and it sold for 95
-
It's for my car, not to fussed if it doesn't sell, feels a shame to get rid of it
-
Yea great shame!
-
You can always just pass the car onto a good friend or family member that will cherish it. People are having difficulty selling really good cars (such as yourself). Older cars are money eaters...and unfortunately aren't valued by most people.
-
Rarely do you get what you want price wise on ebay. Everyone wants a bargain. Good for buying, rubbish for selling. My last mk3 had 150 watchers and ended up at a grand below its reserve.
-
Ive got over 100 on mine now 1000 odd views and only few bids.
-
I call them ebay pervs as they just watch and that is it!,many of them have something similar to sell and just watch to see what it goes for.
-
-
Sorry guys but i'm watching both your cars and murraymints until it sold the other day  im a right magpie, so always looking for bargains. Almost bought a blue colour concept the other day just because it was going cheap! but as said before, watchers mean nothing. You want 2-3 people who are willing to battle it out on the last 30 secs to get a good price, but its always a gamble, the stuff you think will go for loads because you've seen others sell them consistantly for high prices go for nothing and some old tat you were going to take the skip goes for treble what you paid for it.
its a funny old game ebay!!!

I had a listing once with 432 watchers and yet it ended with no bids.
-
WTF was that mate?

WTF was that mate?
A swb land rover / range rover hybrid (selling for a friend), 2nd time it was listed I had just under 300 watchers, 3rd time around it did sale.
-
I had 38 watchers on my golf, but it didn't sell, it's relisted now
-
Why didn't it sell? When i looked it had a few bids

Well... My other half bid it up to £750 , but no one else bid, I had a couple swap offers
-
What did you get offered?
-
I reckon thats just down to geography..N Devon is a bit of a trek for most people, you tend to see cars around the midlands/south east and north west shift quite quickly.
-
What did you get offered?
1.1 106 and a 1.6 audi a3.

Spot on, it can be hard work in and around Somerset, once you tell them your 40 minutes from Bristol they seem to lose interest.
