Title: Dilemma
Post by: theclash on 20 June 2013, 21:47
Gonna put a new clutch in soon and while gearbox is out I'm also gonna change crankseal.
Question is which is the better seal victor reinz or elring ?
Don't want to do this job twice so which would be the better seal

Used a victor one with no issues. can't comment on the other.

Gen VW would be the best bet but they won't have it on the day.

Thanks mr blue victor reinz it is then
Gsf sell the victor reinz at a reasonable price, vw only sell the seal complete with housing and very expensive.

And you'll probably find that GSF will supply VW the seal in the first place.
