Title: Wheel spacer, on wheel spacer. Big no no?
Post by: Hoggy on 20 June 2013, 20:14
More out of curiosity than any thing:

Say I have 2 5mm spacers and 2 10mm humcentric spacers, and I was wanting 15mm spaced each side, is it forbidden or just frowned upon to put two sets of spacers per side?

This would just be a temporary solution on a mk4 Golf.

Thanks, Hoggy.

Not something I would even consider doing to be honest. That said, a similar question was asked on Edition recently and the advice given was that it would be fine but they're all spring chopping numpties :lipsrsealed:

Cheers dom, it's something I can't make my mind up on, I know it's not ideal, but it would just be temporary :)

Cheers, Hoggy.

You can have 25mm or was it 55mm spacers but you can not have the wheel sticking out of the arch so need wider wheel arches. I was watching chop shop lupos sumo car.  lol look at the size of the rear spacers.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96AGEugR3-o

I wouldnt do it myself too. Might not be no problem doing it but it would always be in the back of my mind.  The two would never be as strong as one.

Yea but hes asking about putting a 5 on top of a 10.

If you had sufficiently long bolts I think it would probably be ok, OBV not ideal. I certainly wouldn't condone it for a long period of time. Defo pick up the correct size one next time on egay!

Will be ordering the right size spacers when I get the exact mm measurement right :)

Being on air I want that arch right on the lip ;)

Those spacers are ludicrous!
