Guys when I was test driving the GTI the dealer had carpet mats in the car that had a light grey edging. Would they be the standard golf mats supplied with the car? I really hope not as they looked a little out of place with all the red trims.

I got some really nice mats with red stitching and GTI logo for my mk6.
I hope they fit the mk7.

Any reason they might not?

Don't know until I try (plastic studs in the main carpet).
Same goes for the roof bars which I got for the mk5.

Isn't it a different floor pan now with the MQB?
-
Probably.
New mats, new roof bars.
£300 later....

Ugh, use mays without the clips?
-
No.
The plastic studs are built into the carpet.

The rear mats from MK6 Golf and Scirocco are a direct fit in the MK7, as is the passenger mat, but not the drivers mat. One of the pins on the drivers side floorpan is noticeably off from the hole on the mat that accomodates it - presumably due to the new pedal layout on the MK7 (no floor-hinged accelerator pedal).

Thanks for the info Monkey.
