Post by: spudboy6 on 19 June 2013, 23:46
Does anyone have the alignment data for a mk3 , its a 1.8 se on a 96 , im going to string it up in the evening as its to low to go on our 4wheel alignment machine and im not sticking them clamps on m shiny new wheels ,

You will be very lucky.
You not got old wheels to put on?
And if some does have measurements, I doubt they will be any good. Where do you measure from and are you going to be measuring from the same point to a mm? If measuring from wheels then wont yours and whoever has done this car need to have same spec wheels and tyres?

Be so much easier with old wheels and a machine

try aline in dudley, they'll be able to track and set camber too. i've had mine done last week. read their reviews. these guys are awesome. ohh and my car is low too. others could not get their clamp over, but aline use the hunter system, which sits on the face of the alloy wheel.

Be nice to get a list/collection of people using the hunter system. I've needed mine done for a long time but struggling to find somewhere.
Only people that have actually had alignment done where the tread is completely covered by the arch should add any info.

Right strung it up this evening got it perfect first time , got the data from autodata,

Very simple 4 axle stands two poles one front one back . Sting down both sides . Get the car in the middle take measurements front either end of the wheel face and take your measurements and do the rest from there
