Title: Remove side trims or keep?

Hi,
I am planning to respray my car sometime towards the end of the year and wanted to know whether I should keep the side trims or remove them?
I have a Golf MK1 GTi Cab....

I'd keep em i've got chrome ones on my mk1 cab and like them lots  :cool:

nah...i ouwld remove them for those clean lines down the door :cool:

when i got my car the stripes had been removed and smoothed but i didnt like it so i now have the crome ones on mine, i think they look sweet! but i suppose its a personal choice! lol
