Well I have decided to put upgraded discs and pads all round on my gti.
For ebc groved and yellow stuff pads I have been quoted £400, supplied only.
What do you think? Should I go for greenstuff over yellowstuff?

Ive tried greenstuff pads in the past, cant say i really noticed any difference in pedal performance etc, although they were good for low dust on the wheels
Mintex and ferodo are good imo

Green stuff are for small or low powered cars and not really ideal for the GTI
Yellow stuff are trackday pads and will destroy your discs. Red stuff are the road/trackday pads
I wouldn't be paying £400 for that set up either way.
I just out ds2500 pads and brembo. HC discs on my clio and they're superb on road and track. No squealing, they work from cold, dust levels is less than the OEM brembo pads.
I would suggest trying these pads on the standard discs and see what they're like.
The newer style EBC red stuff pads are meant to be good but I would rather pay the extra £20 and get the ferodo pads which are well proven.

Where did you get your ds2500 pads from? And what are they like from cold?

jjc road and rally
they work as well as the brembo pads from cold and can take a pasting on track no problem
