Hi guys. I've just bought my 3sdm 0.05 staggered alloys 8.5 front 9.5 rear. I've got 225/40 18 all round but been told there to big for when I want to lower the car.
Any suggestions??
Seen I few people doing 215/35 or front and 225/35 for rears...
Any help would be great.
Thanks Guy

a mate of mine is running the exact same set up on these wheels and he has 215 on the front and 225 on the rear.

I've seen this set up on an Ed30 and for those old enough to remember Hot Wheels will now what I mean
To bag win with the 0.05 get the inner bits colour coded to the car

I emailed them the other day about seeing if they can sort me some colour centre caps :) getting it lowered soon by Greg Howell. Can't wait :)

you don't HAVE to get rid of these tyres mate. 225s will give a decent enough stretch on your front wheels if they're 8.5j.
I have 225s on my mk4 with rims on 8.5j and had the coilovers wound all the way down. rubbing will only start if you fit spacers that are too big. I'm guessing the 3SDM's are around ET46? if so I reckon 5mm on the front and 15mm on the back.

Really?? The 9.5j at rear are et40 and fronts are 8.5j et42.

they should be fine then mate. the rears might not need spacers with that offset and being so wide. lowering a car isn't an exact science, it's just a case of trial and error.
