I've just had a quick read about different kinds of diverter valves / dump valves.
I've currently got a forge 007p but not entirely pleased with the noise. I fully appreciate that it's never going to sound like a Scooby but the Bailey's dv26 sounds excellent and also the forge splitter sounds quite nice.
My engine is an agu and I'm wondering if I put one of these on instead of the 007p, what will be the worst case scenario. As I'm still trying to get the noise

Take a read on this mate :)

Yeah I've already had a read mate, but as I've got nothing to record the differences in the valves, all I have to go by is the lights on the dashboard. If this makes any sense

From all the research I have done, the AGU engine seems to be the only engine that you "can" use a blow off valve but people still advise against it.
-
Come listen to my forge 007p and tell me it's not loud
Not that I want it loud, it just is. Like I told you, you need a remap in your life. More boost, more psssst.
Also the open filter I'm currently running makes it loud.
-
The noise from stock to remap is double. My 007p very loud.... air filter s2000,tip,forge 007p, remap it sounds lush
-
What is needed in total to put an s2k filter on it. ?
My car is totally bog standard apart from 007p dv, I'm not familiar with the s2k but I'll look into it if it's suitable for mine

Have a look here:

To fit an S2000 filter you'll need a silicone reducer, the filter itself and a heatshield.
-
Thanks for that dom, I've already got a filter here that's got a plastic surround to it and a hollow end so air can get through the filter. Is this a filter with already a heatshield around it ? Like I've said before I was given it to me by a guy who had it on his vectra 24v. Or do I still need a heatshield even with this. As I've looked on the net and only seem to find the exposed filters with heat shields.
I've yet to see a cone filter with a plastic casing and also a heatshield.
If that makes any sense

Nino has one for sale? :undecided:

i cant find the reducer in metric on ebay for you dean but imperial is 2.75" to 3".

Not too sure what you mean.
The heatshield that I'm referring to is something like this:
