I don't seem to be able to see a distinct difference in the tint of the front and rear windows on either the 3 or 5 door GTI/GTD from any pictures. Maybe it's just my eyes!
The website has 2 mentions in the specification pages -
1. Heat Insulation Green Tinted Glass
2. Heat-insulating tinted glass 65% light absorbing from B-pillar backwards
Any ideas anybody?

This is actually an old pic of my mk6 but the mk7 is exactly the same, the rear windows are considerably darker than the fronts but they're all tinted:

Thanks for the reassurance, my MK5 GTD 170 is the same, it just seemed that in some pictures at shows or on tests that there was no difference in the tint from front to back. I am back at the dealers tomorrow so will have another look at the demo car, I think when I went to test drive I was not concentrating on window tint more the other good looks of the car! Although I am not 100% sure that some demo models are full production versions as the one I tested did not have the Auto distance eye in the front grill (??????)

The rear tints aren't standard in europe, thats why none of the test cars have had it.
