Title: clutch adjuster

just brought a 16v but the clutch pedal is high if you push the pedal right down it doesnt change properly but half way down it does.
 the problem is its a self adjusting cable and it cant be adjusting right its had a new clutch so it cant be that is there any thing i can do or is it just one of those things you cant change  ???

swap it for a manual adjustment cable

also, see the other post about the clutch pedal being too high

yeah it should be. take ur old one out new one in in less than ten mins, ive just done mine it was so easy

When I fitted a new clutch on my car I also fitted a new cable and it cured the problem you describe. I fitted an automatic adjusting one and it was fine but took ages for it to bed in, it was between clicks for a while.
