Title: cam belt change done is this correct?

hi had the cam belt ,water pump, alternator belt  etc done but after that i noticed a couple of times the rad fan was on after ignitionn was turned off only for 10-20 seconds is this usual ? also they did an oil change and seems to me the oil seems thin also engine seems really hot in the bay any thoughts cheers guys

does the temp gauge needle go any higher than before ? check your water level too.. or they might have caused an air lock in the cooling system somewhere when changing the pump.

no tempreture gauge still dont go past 90 same as before how wouid i check for airlocks? cheers

On most cars now the fan is electrically operated and will stay on after the engine has been turned off.

dont worry about the fans, like 79ronnie said, sometimes they do stay on, mine do it sometimes.. not quite sure for the reason behind it tho lol, seems pointless when the engines off..

Where did you get the work done?  :undecided:

The fans kick in at a pre-determined temperature to cool the engine whilst running and comes off when at another temp(lower). The mostly come on at low speeds or in traffic jams. When you have been out driving and come home you are driving slower, usually, so the engine temp goes up and the fans kick in. When you turn the engine off the, temp is still not cool enough, so the fans keep running.

Don't worry, its normal for this to happen
