Thanks.guy

Car? Budget? How low do you want to go?

2010 gti. Want to go low without there been crazy rubbing. Seen a pic of a car on another forum on fk street lines. Maxed in the rear with full camber. Looks amazing but heard fk are cheap??!!
But I don't want to spend crazy money.

if £500+ is crazy money leave well alone, why would you mess us a great handling car with pair of plasticine coilovers?
Sub £200 coilovers are crashy and bone jarring, best off on a shed.

By crazy money I mean thousands.
-
Fk do a range and yes they start cheap, but fk akso do good coilovers.
If I was you I woukd get KW variant v1's or v2's cost about a grand but a lot of people use them and always here good things.
Or a set of avo's for £750

H&R with adjustable dampning. So when really wound down, you can adjust it to soft if it's harsh ride.
Kw are good but when wound down, they give you a crashy/bumpy ride. So not really worth it buying them.

Thanks for the advice boys. Wish I could work out how to add pics on here so I could show you what I'm after.

what kw did you have? Spending £1000 coilovers they wont be harsh. They are dampening adjustable too. My mate had them on his mk2 tt and we wound them down for a show and they was fine.
Hes now got a set on his mk6 gti and I rate them highly. Another mate of mine has them on his mk5 gti and it sits low and hes got a baby lol
if you set them soft they are not crashy or bumpy

Read all 5 pages, KW's aint bad at all and if I had 1k to spend on my Mk6 ( I have neither ) I would definitely consider them.
Every set of sub £300 coilovers I've ever had have been sh1te and not stayed on the car

^^ This. V2 basics can be had for less than a grand, they will be more than good enough

I really rate the SPAX rsx's I have on my MK2. Seems like SPAX never get a shout in nowadays. We get a forum discount which takes them to £500 for fully dampening adjustable coilovers.
