Title: Ko3 to ko3s
Post by: Screech16v on 06 June 2013, 20:59
Hi guys I currently run a ko3 with remap ,im waiting for my ko3s that I bought off a fellow forum member to come through the post, i would like to know if it will be ok to install and run for a bit before I go and have another remap,or is this a bad idea and end up with a melted engine as I think fueling may end up a bit lean or will ecu adjust to suit :undecided:

It will be fine. I had the same And did not map it for 3 months. It will feel a bit quicker but remeber the ECU thinks you still have the old turbo on so won't increase boost or anything.

i think he`s pretty much right to be honest, it won`t cause any harm unless its a massive turbo..
the maf tells the ecu how much air is being drawn so it knows how much fuel to add. as long as you`re not over boosting you should be fine.
