New design has a rubber seal on the base of it.

if im not mistaken thats like the old 006?.

New style doesnt have seal on bottom... the piston was the only difference the O rinfs were same as vefore 1 on top lip and 2 in the chamber

The new one DOES have a rubber seal/'o' ring on the bottom of the piston, The bottom of the piston is also flat unlike the one in the above picture,
I will quite happily go take mine out and take a picture.

I have copied this pis from Audi-Sport, It clearly shows the seal/'o' ring on the base of the piston.
I can still get a pic of mine if preferred.

Makes sense, the O ring will seal better than metal
