K03/s hybrid has the k04 internals, if you get all the bits to fit a K04 and get a new one you will see much better results. Like Toby did.

There are a few places that sell genuine ones but they are not cheap at all, can get hybrids for cheaper.

So why do you want another one? What are you running from it?

Get a new hotside and do all the supporting mods and remapped

if it was working before you removed it then its fine, just get a new housing as jon said and rebuild it with new bearings and seals.

Fair enough then mate, look in to getting it rebuilt will be cheaper than getting a new one even with buying a new hotside for it.

A new genuine one will be the best part of a grand and then your getting into BT money.

But a properly supported properly mapped k04 will destroy most BT Golfs on the road.

well its just time thats the killer if my car was here i could maybe repair my turbo then send it back down for its map but its sat 300 mile away so was just going to pay for a new 1 to be fitted then mapped an sort mine when car is back  an hopefully it goes well once mapped

Fair play

There is a few on ebay.

Reckon that crack on the one in the classifieds would make no difference but if your spending that money why buy one with a crack in it.

Maybe worth finding one cheap, spares and repair and getting it reconditioned if you want a new one
