Title: Buying Guide

Hi all I'm looking at getting a mk4 1.8t. I'm interested in everyone's opinion on which one I should be looking at. Got about £3000 to spend so was thinking of buying a car for as less as poss so it gives me more to spend making it how I want.
Obviously a gti but is there a difference between years. I wanna make it a quick car to shut my ST mates up.
