Title: changing brake pads simple job...for most people.
Post by: Cerialkarpins on 05 June 2013, 18:37
Went to change my brake pads on friday evening...looked on internet seemed very simple. Ive helped people change theirs before, figured 30min job hour max....still waiting to change pads at moment.

Some complete muppet has totally over tightened my wheel nuts. So much so I sheared one off. Lovely. Four hours later (and help from some one who actually has a clue) the bolt is out but now needs re threading. Yet to attempt the other wheel. I'm ignoring the rear wheels for now.

The last placw the wheels could have  been removed was with vw chiswick. As i'd assume checking the brake discs (properly)would require removing the wheels.

If ur car has been with them check ur wheels nuts!

Doubt they would remove the wheels tbh, visual inspection could be done looking through the wheel.
