Title: G60 mis-fire

Corrado G60, 8v this mis-fire seems to be timed. At 3000rpm engine will run smooth then I get a pop, pop, pop,.  Smooth, pop, pop, pop,. Smooth, pop, pop, pop, going to drive it up and down the road again and check to see if rev gauge twitches about, but anyone recognise this fault. Thanks all.

possibly a bad hydraulic lifter or maybe a sticking valve???

Swap a working ECU first before opening a head, plus a dodgy hall sender could be a cause?
