Post by: tubsy250 on 02 June 2013, 18:55
Hi can any one tell me if its normal with stage 1 remapped that when the turbo spools up you get that whistling sound it then flutters as it revs through the rev range .All my mapped turbo cars whistled but the fluttering is something new

My last car was a k04 cupra R 2010 and standard made no fluttering noise but as soon as it was mapped stage 1 and 2 it fluttered.
Usually 3rd gear upwards and around 3000rpm until about 5000rpm. Perfectly normal it just your boost being regulated.

I'm assuming an ED35 has the same engine as a golf R does it?
My last car was 265bhp standard and ran APR stage 2 approx 360bhp.

Yes, your assumption is correct.  It has the EA113 engine but tuned to a lesser degree than the R
