My mate has a 1990 Golf Rallye and the emissions are 4% and has failed the MOT.I am familiar with setting the mixture on k-jets but how is it done on Digifants
any clues ?
-
not 100% on g60's but as you say they are basicly a digifant. you adjust the mixture/co2 by an allen key (5mm i think) on top of the air box by the afm. there may be a little blue anti-tamper cap in the top which you'll have to break off. then turn the allen key anti clockwise to make it leaner, clockwise to make it richer. you only need small adjustments though, helps if you have a co2 tester!

hmmm i dunno but on a g60 you have the charger instead of an afm so the adjuster will not be in the same place... ive not had 2 do one b4 its a good question!
-
i think the adjuster is in the boost tube from the intercooler and is adjusted with a just a flat screwdriver

good point, i'm trying to picture a g60 engine now!! so you'd better wait and ask topher or jv how to do it......

there you go, answered your own question!!!!
-
Yeah but are there any pipes or wires to disconnect when you set it ?
-
Got the job done by unplugging the plug off the adjuster, put a test meter across pins 1 and 3 and turning the black plastic screw until I got 500 Ohms reading on the meter
Car now runs great no flames out of the back box
