Title: Cambelt tentioner has snapped off :(

Ok lads was on the way home on Thursday and couldn't bare to look at it till today, on looking at what went wrong I pulled the tentioner out the engine with ease as the bolt securing it in place snapped.

So what's the damage ??

New valves, head skimmed and all that good stuff?

It's a gt tdi 150 arl

A guy at work recently had the belt go on his gttdi, About 5 teeth had torn off the belt.

He had the belt replaced and got away with it, however yours sounds a bit more severe
