Title: Alloygator wheel protectors
Post by: webb4711 on 31 May 2013, 15:04
Recently had my 18" Monza shadows refurbed and after the favorable reports in Autoexpress I am looking to add Black Alloygators.  Does anyone have any experience of them and whether they are as good as all the reports suggest.

Had the Alloygators fitted at the weekend and I can see why Autoexpress have named them Product of the year and for the sake of the cost of One alloy wheel refurb I personally don't believe that they look too bad, especially as the car is the wife's and not mine.

If anyone could advise how to add pictures I will upload them so you can see how they look on 18" Monza's

Sign up to Photobucket, uploads are self explanatory, then copy the [IMG] code on the right hand side and paste it into a reply on here.

What does the rim look like when you take them off tho?.

They're soft(ish) plastic, which does no harm to the rim.

If you fit the black ones, they get "lost" against the tyre, and don't look gay...

If your wife does braille parking, like mine, they're worth every penny!

Totally agree with you Crossie.  GTI is the wifes car and she doesnt care about the kerb at all or the damaged alloys, hence why for me the Alloygators are excellent value for money and a great concept

I actually think there pretty decent in red or black, you got a link, what was the total cost plus fitting?

As you can see mine are in Black.  Looked at the grey ones but colour differs from the alloys and therefore didnt look as good as I thought that they might.

As I am a DIY bafoon I asked a company in Cambridge to fit them..took an hour and I was charged GBP 125 in totality i.e for the alloygators and fitting .... takes an hour to fit
