No you dont need special tools. Once you have the driveshaft out of the hub, you just whack the CV till it pops off the driveshaft then replace the boot. And as the haynes says refiting is a reversal of removal. :grin:
As for the fuel pump im not sure about new seals. You really gotta find the leak 1st. I took some pics of my pump last night while i was under the car for you.

Parts Left to Right are 1. Filter 2. Pump 3. Acumulator
The cleanest copper looking pipe is the one i had to replace due to a leak.
