Title: Bluetooth Coding
Post by: Eeef on 29 May 2013, 20:21
Plugged myself into the car for half an hour and set Fogs as DRLS and enabled needle sweep.

However, when I came to code the Bluetooth/phone in preparation for the install I seemed to be missing a load of bytes?

Your CAN gateway 7N0907530C is the updated version of P3EPS 1K0907530AD

Are you running the latest version of VCDS, if not, try the BETA version as it looks like they don't have enough information about your new module in the version you are running.

I get that sometimes when coding it says no long code helper or there bytes missing like you say.
Usually if I come out of that control unit and go back in it works perfectly with all the options.
I'm assuming you've tried more than once?

AndyG, I went to VAG Bolton and they have now sorted the reverse camera

Still no joy with the bluetooth though

My issue is with an RNS315, when you press the phone button on the stereo it just mutes the audio, nophone menu.

The bloke at VAG Bolton tried this:

selected 37(navigation), coding (07), Bytr 3 Bit 5, Bluetooth is disabled so he unchecked the box and tried to enable it but no joy.

Any ideas?

Tried it a few times, and have now upgraded to 11.11.2,

No 11.11.5.1 (http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/current.html) is the latest which has been out 5 months. Set you laptop to notify your to when updates are available.

The cable I've got isn't a pucker RossTech one, albeit one of the more expensive ones. So I'm coming to the conclusion that maybe it's the cable at fault.

Before I buy a proper one, is there anyone out there with the genuine article and a 7N0907530C CAN gateway and can you see all of the bytes as per Pe3ps guide? Or has the coding moved elsewhere in the new CAN version?

KeithUK, I cant email you privately which I tried to do! sorry

The Link you sent in this reply was about the 9w7 Bluetooth, I have that kit and in the guide that you linked it says in the new 'phone' tab, I installed my RNS-510 and Bluetooth and it did no create a new 'phone' tab, is this a coding problem or have I retrofitted it incorrectly?

Thanks
Jay
