Title: Fancy a Change from 18" Monza Shadows - Swap or Part Ex any one?
Post by: RocketRossUK on 23 May 2013, 19:35
As title says, I have a near perfect set of 18" Monza Shadows (one small kerb mark)

Just fancy something a bit different - anyone want to swap plus cash or Part Ex....

I have MK6 GTI Carbon Grey - Not sure exactly what wheels will look nice.....Any advise

Hi, have you thought of 19 inch Glendales, I too have a carbon grey and they do look pretty good, couple of pictures up on mk 6 forum but I think they will be difficult to come by and may be rather expensive if you buy new from VW. I think they are around th £540 mark and that just the rims alone, good hunting

Deep dish rims only suit cars with air IMO.

I've got Glendales on black but here's a couple of threads showing them on carbon grey

I dunno, I have to disagree. I had a set of LMs on my mk4 and I was running coilys. they looked pretty good I thought...

Personally I really like white wheels, which probably harks back to my Jap car ownership, but I am not sure the Golf would carry them off too well.

If they are perfect bar one small scuff as described I would of thought you would get somewhere in the region of £600-800 with decent tyres on the secondhand market.

Any more than that gets you genuine BBS wheels which a lot of the Dub scene likes.

I'd keep them. You'll need something to put back on the car when you sell it.
