Hi all,
I've just had my car 're-scanned today and was happy with the result. Recently I've experienced problems with feeling a judder through the accelerator pedal on take off. I've cleaned my throttle body and it has definately helped a lot. So like I've said above, I've had the car 're-scanned and happy with the outcome of just one fault code. But I'm confused as to what it means exactly.
The fault description is as follows.....
00561 - Mixture Adaptation
14-00- Adaptation Limit (add) Exceeded
I've looked on the net and found a post mentioning something about throttle body alignment.
-
Iv got this too and need clean throttle body too  did you align yours back with vagcom? What engine code you got
-
My engine code is agu and I've already cleaned the throttle body and just erased the code. Or do you need to do something more than just erase it for everything to be ok
-
Nope agu is cable throttle so will settle itself after a few miles
-
Ok, well a throttle body clean can't be the cause of the code in that case as since I cleaned it, put it back, and drove it about 40 miles the fault would not be there when scanned today if it settles itself back. So it must be something else

You got any powerloss? How is your mpg? Could be maf.

Taken from rosstech..
00561 - Mixture Adaptation: Adaptation Limit (Add) Exceeded
Possible Symptoms
Engine JoltingIncreased Fuel ConsumptionPoor Idling/JoltingReduced Boost Pressure
Possible Causes
Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) faultyFuel Pressure too LowLeaks in Intake Air System and/or Exhaust SystemInjector(s) faulty (i.e. coked)
Possible Solutions

So seems like most likely maf mate. U luky to get fault code so atleast you can pin point it. Take maf off take it for a spin see how it feels

As I'm new to the car I couldn't honestly say 100% that there is or isn't powerloss. However, I've not noticed any difference in the drive and mpg is averaging between 24-28mpg (urban)

i had this for ages after decatting and fitting a new exhaust, changed MAF and Lambda sensor but was still getting it so i done a smoke test, ended up it was a leak in the inlet manifold, maybe worth doing.
