Title: fitting body kits
Post by: Cadde GTI Turbo on 23 May 2013, 11:48
I had a garage fit the extension to my front bumper, looking how it's been fitted it looks like it has been glued in.
What do they use as I want to give fitting my rear extension ago?

Head to your nearest Toolzone, they do a Polyurethane adhesive called PU40, exactly the same as Tigerseal etc but about 1/3 the price.

Do not use PU based products to bond body parts together, whether its "Tigerseal" or Sikaflex or whatever! These are adhesive sealers, and are meant to fill gaps in bodywork prior to paint...

Windscreen bonding adhesive is the correct product, and far easier to use! parts will stay attached to your car!
