Reading the original mk6 brochure it suggests that Bluetooth comes as standard in the GTI, is that correct?
Picked up a 2011 GTI today, and Bluetooth shows as a media option, but I don't get an option to pair when the vehicle starts up.
I thought the module was normally installed under the passenger seat, which it doesn't appear to be...

Bluetooth was only standard in later models. It became standard at the same time as leather.
To see if you have it or not, use the <> buttons on the right hand side on the steering wheel to scroll through the menus. It should go something like, Trip computer - Audio - Vehicle Set Up - Bluetooth - Nav -,depending on what's fitted.

Balls
Thanks for the reply.

It is very easy to retro fit.

Just been watching the video
Are there any differences between the Fiscon kit and the OEM one?
Preferences?

I've fitted 3 of these kits now http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-BLUETOOTH-KIT-SEAT-SKODA-MFD3-RNS-510-RNS-310-RCD-510-RNS-315-5K0-035-730-D-/271210236716?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f2563cb2c Can't fault them.

Looking at that the mic is designed to go in the oem pace?
Where do you put the main module, behind the stereo or under the passenger seat?
-
Behind the climate control unit.
-
The cable is long enough to reach under the passenger seat though isnt it?
Ideally thats where I'd be looking to put mine. All nice and original.
-
It is long enough, but why bother? You'll never see it, just like you'll never see the non oem wiring loom or mic lead wire.

I guess Im a bit "OCD" like that. I work in telecomms, so everything is neat neat neat and proper. :nerd:
-
would be neater out of sight.
