Title: Rear beam bushes
Post by: erraticrocket on 21 May 2013, 00:30
On the last MOT my golf had an advisory for worn rear beam bushes. I was just wondering what kind of urgency i should have with getting them replaced? Theres no knocking over bumps or anything yet, the rear does feel a bit vague i suppose. Ive been quoted £185 to get them replaced, but cant really afford that right now. Will continuing to use the car with the bushes being worn cause any other damage to components etc?

Any input is appreciated

Thanks

No they won't Will just cause a wobbley rear end. Just take it easy until you can.

£185 is very over priced, shop around for other quotes.  It cost me less than £100 to get mine replaced, including labour, at a garage.

Or do it yourself - http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=199526.msg2329742#msg2329742
