As above, I picked up a smooth bumper with no lower grills for free, I've seen one on ebay which is really awful going for 40 quid, and the plastic splitter wasn't even smoothed in with the bumper, only the license plate area smoothed.
But mine has the license plate area smoothed, and the splitter smoothed on Aswell, finished in gloss black?
What would this be worth if anyone is interested, I reckon 80 is a good price?
Ps. Sorry if I am in the wrong section, I'm on my phone so struggling to use this on here haha
Cheers
Dom

Any pictures? Might be interested in it...

from what I can remember from when I was selling min around £80-£90 will be about what you get, maybe ten or twenty less if you want to get rid quick.
but all depends on what condition, and how the smoothing was done to how mch youll get.

Okay, cheers for the info, I will get a pic up tomorrow, tbh it's a very nice bumper! But need the money more so would go nice on a black car :), please keep an eye on this thread tomorrow from around half 9, I will get pics of every angle possible on a good camera.
Thanks
Dom

Looks like LC9Z to me, it's just a shame about the turbo writing on the side, ruins it
-
I know bro, I didn't like it, i would put it on my golf but need the money's, I won't want what it's worth because I got it for free so not going to rip anyone off :)
-
stick it on ebay. it`s worth whats someone is willing to pay for it then.
-
I cba to go through the hassle of ebaying it, would rather sell for less and quick
-
Rather than your bumper being smoothed, surely it's an aftermarket part and someone's just stuck the turbo part in.... For whatever reason.
Either way, it's not an oem bumper/valance.
-
No mate surely it's not, because it was a standard bumper on a mates golf, he got a smoothed, took it out, put an r32 on :)

No, look at the back of it... No joins at all, no signs of any work done except the poor turbo part. You'd be able to see where the splitter meets the bumper, where the rub strip was....
Quite clearly it's an aftermarket one piece bumper.
-
Agree with Colin on this one, looks very aftermarket
-
Yeah definitely aftermarket, and for that reason I'm out
-
I'm sure it was smoothed quite well as it was cut etc, I think they have just snapped off, but I know my mate took a bumper and got it back looking like that. Because I don't know any after market that looks like this...

Lol how many times..... It's quite obviously an aftermarket bumper, they do exist.... Look around!
No, the tabs etc weren't cut off etc because quite obviously they weren't there in the first place.
Having said all the above, it looks to be abs and who knows, it might be a good fit so it might not be all bad, im only saying this so you can sell your bumper with an accurate description. But seriously, there's no way on this earth it's an oem bumper or valance that's been smoothed. I can't really believe you're attempting to dispute it, regardless of what your 'friend' had and says you've got eyesight like we all do and all of what I've said is pretty obvious.
-
I'm not getting into an argument on a forum over a bumper, all I can say for sure is it was sent to the body shop to be smoothed so? But if you believe it's aftermarket then fair plays, I'm not a big specialist so as I said, the information I have put, is what I have been informed..

there is no evidence on the pic that there is either a bonnet notch or a front rub strip...... just saying :lipsrsealed:
