Title: Wiring identification from Cat1 alarm to put in RCL unit...
Post by: MereKat on 18 May 2013, 11:01
Hi Guys,

Just been looking at the Dummy Guide for the RightClick RCL Kit. I have one that looks the same, just got different fobs.

Anywho, my car came with a Gemel GR480 Alarm and Immobilizer unit already installled. Problem with it is i have lost the touchkey and the fob no longer works, as such i've removed the Alarm/Immo ECUs, and now have a car that works.

Pics aren't great, but Current wiring going to/from the Alarm ECU:

the 'wiring diagram' for the new unit:

Again, not great but it's scanned.

The GR480 operated the central locking, indicators and total closure, but had it's own siren that i don't think can be reused...can try it though?

Not sure if it would be easier to use these plugs, or try and trace the original wiring to do a fresh install? I guess the Solid red and Black on the old plug can go to Red and Black on the new unit, But thats it! As the new kit comes with 4 Solenoids/motors, i assume the wiring for one of the motors would go to the vac pump supply and the other 3 left unconnected? I dunno, i'm not Auto Electrician!! :(

Anyone able to help?

Cheers!
