Hi everyone ,
I have ordered a new gti in pearl black, dsg, 3 dr with pp, rev cam, and keyless entry.
My query is I still have a pristine set of bbs vs 18" wheels with 225/40/18 winter tyres in the garage from my old mk5 gti,
Will they fit? Did I hear the mk7 has 225/45/18 tyres?
Thanks Derek.

Incorrect Derek. The price list brochure clearly states:
71⁄2J x 18 ‘Austin’ with 225/40 R18 tyres
So you're in luck
P.S. Add your car spec in the sticky at the top of the page. Be good to get yours included.

Yes, same bolt pattern and offset so all is good.

Similar question Does anyone know if my winter 16" steels from the mk6 will fit on a MK7 GTD?
Guess i'm asking if the discs and calipers are the same size ?

Nope, according to my information, 17" alloys minimum to fit over the 312mm brakes.

Cheers Norbreck ,
Will wait until winter and get them on Ebay.
hmmmm what wheels should I buy for winter use. maybe the 17" standard mk6 GTD wheels.
anyone recommend a decent 225/45/17 winter tyre?
been really happy with my ultra grip 7+ 205/55/16.
Think I will buy now as low demand = lower prices.

Good News
Just had a look on vw.de and you can spec the 16" steel winters as an option on the GTD so looks like I should be ok. money saved then.
