basically i have lost my only key to the car :embarrassed: along with the fob for the alarm/immobiliser (mk3 golf gti 8v r reg) the car has an after market clifford alarm on there. obviously i could contact the dealers to get a new key produced for my car but heres the issue..
What would i do about the alarm as even if could get into the car the alarm wouldnt stop unless i disconnected the battery. a small possibility of dragging the car onto a truck and taking it down to my brothers yard and breaking into it but again what could i do about the alarm? is it as simple as ripping it out? would this mess up the immobiliser etc?
cheers for any help in advance!

If i am right, MK3's came with toad alarms from factory, and these were coded to the ecu, well the immoboliser is coded to the ecu.
If clifford is an aftermarket one, your best bet is try to find out if its coded to the ecu, if so then your screwed. if its not coded to the ecu. just rip it out and put another alarm in.

It's definitely a Clifford mate, how would I find out if its been coded? It was on the car when I bought it and have no paper work for it and now can't even get into the car..? So I'm guessing I can't

phone your local clifford installer and ask for there advice about the alarm, they will know how to bypass the system but i guess it won't be cheap (although getting a key for the ignition may be the hardest part!)
