Title: Changing Valve Stem Oil Seals without Removing Head
Post by: mk28vpb91 on 07 August 2005, 08:02
Has anyone out there changed out their valve seals without removing the cylinder head first?

I am planning to do this next week and I'm in the process of getting hold of the right tools to do it with compressed air (adaptor for spark plug holes, compressor and pliers) but was wondering if its actually easier to take the head off. Any advice and warnings would be gratefully received.

Mines just been done mate..............take the head off otherwise you will do it half way through. Trust me, take it off its 100% easier and done properly then
